Jailyns 1st softball game

Well jailyn had her 1st softball game this Saturday. It was a little tedious to sit through because it moves soo slow in T-ball, but she looked soo cute!! She also said that she likes softball more now that they've played a game. She got to bat twice and she needed the tee both times but she did pretty well. She also got to play catcher for 1 inning. she didn't like that because she said the equipment was smelly. She likes to play outfield because she doesn't have to do anything!!!! It was fun overall. If anyone wants to come see a game let me know and I'll send you the schedule.

OK so I would like to take this time to address a comment made by our dear friends Matt and Arlyn. They were with us on our big trip to NY this past December and mentioned that they noticed they weren't in the picture I posted of NY, so I'd like to take this chance to correct that because they were a HUGE part in how much fun I had in my first trip to NY and celebrating my 28th birthday!!! So THANKS guys!!! These are for you!!!

Funny Jailyn story

So the other day we were driving home from breakfast and we started talking about the presidents on the coins. So JR starts quizing her. Penny- Lincoln, nickel- jefferson, quarter- washington, then he says as he's looking for a dime whose on the dime? Jailyn says "Franklin Roosevelt" JR says "Nooo he's not on the dime" Then he looks and says "Shit that looks like Franklin Roosevelt" Jailyn giggles from the back seat and says in a very I TOLD YOU SO voice "See daddy i told you it was Franklin Roosevelt" I was cracking up in the front seat because my husband, who did not know that they started a unit on money at school the week before, just got schooled by my six year old!!!! I love it!!! Anyways so I thought that was a story her teacher would like to hear so today while the kids were at recess I told her the story. Well I was telling Jr at dinner tonight that I told the teacher and he said "great now she knows I'm an idiot" and Jailyn said "Yeah and the whole class thought it was a funny story too when my teacher told them after recess" hehehehehe

Well that's it for now!! Goodnight!!!

Welcome to our blog!!

Hi Everyone!!! Well a few of you have started blogs and I liked them soo much that I decided to copy you and start one myself!!! Let me start by saying if you're looking for action, adventure and non-stop thrills you've come to the wrong place!! None of that here just updates on family life in our house!! So I guess I'll start with the youngest first!!!

Marcus: Well much to my dismay he is still showing ZERO interest in sitting on the potty for more than 2 seconds at a time, thwarting my efforts to have him completely potty trained by his 3rd birthday which is only a month away!! Other than that he's still our sweet little daredevil. Fearless and loving as ever. His personality is developing more and more each day and he just makes us laugh soo much!!! He lives up to his hairstyle being the toughest 2 year old I have yet to meet. He was running the other day and TOTALLY ate it on the sidewalk, and instead of crying and waiting to be picked up which is exactally what Jailyn would have done at that age he popped right up, dusted himself off and kept right on going!! Clumbsy but tough!! He (like his sister although his is not as bad as hers) is also developing quite a stubborn streak! I don't know where they get it!! It must be from JR!! hehehe!!!

Jailyn: Well our little girl whose not so little anymore is doing good!!! She's really busy but I like it that way at least she's staying active!! Right now she's doing Gymnastics, Softball and Ballet. She's not too happy about softball, but we want her to keep with it through the season then she can quit!! SHe has her 1st game this Saturday so we'll see how it goes. We had our first parent teacher conference in January. It went REALLY well!! Turns out our shy little girl is anything but shy when it comes to school. Her teacher says she's very comfortable and confident in class, that she is the leader in her class the one the other kids look to for help. She also said she's in the top of her class in reading and language arts!! She's already reading like CRAZY!!! She gets her smarts from me of course!! and a little from JR because she's good in math too and we all know that's not my strong suit!!! She's Loving Ballet as always getting ready for her big recital in April. She's having fun in Gymnastics too. She's not that coordinated right now but I'm hoping that the more she practices the better she'll get!!! We FINALLY got her to stop wearing pullups to sleep at night last month!!! The doctor said she would catch up eventually and just all of the sudden one day she did!!! Now we just need to get her to sleep on her own and we'll be set!!!!

JR and I: Well the biggest news for the 2 of us is that we have started weight watchers!! We started Back on January 23 and so I've lost 10 lbs and JR is down 16 lbs!!!! These are our Before pics. stayed tuned for the After pics they are going to be GREAT!!!!
Well that's all for now I'll keep you updated as much as I can!!! Take Care!!!
