Sorry I know it's been a while......

As a few of you have brought to my attention I haven't been very good about keeping this blog updated as I promised!!! Sorry I'll try to do better, hope you can forgive me :) Let's see lots to share....
Jailyn: My sweet girl is now after spending the 1st 6 1/2 years of her life in our bed is now officially sleeping in her own room(with Marcus of course, but I'll take it). Tomorrow morning she will be able to check off day #30 and to celebrate she gets to have her best friend spend the night!! She's really excited!!! She continues to do well in school!! She's starting to read like crazy everywhere we go she's reading the signs. She also suffered her first major disappointment this past month. Her school held tryouts for their talent show and Jailyn REALLY wanted to try out so I helped her learn a song from Wicked that she really likes, she worked so hard for 2 weeks straight. About 1 week into practicing I heard a rumor that they were only going to choose 10 kids total from the whole school, at that point I wanted to tell her she couldn't tryout but I knew I couldn't do that because she wanted to soo bad so I kept telling her that there was a chance that she wouldn't make it. Well tryouts came and she got up there in front of a room full of people and sang her song( which you all know for my daughter that was HUGE because she's always sooo shy in front of a room full of people she's known her whole life let alone a room full of strangers). So the next week they post a list on the office door and she didn't make it. I had to tell her and it broke my heart!! She started to sob and ask me why. "Why didn't they pick me?" " What did I do wrong?" It was a huge blow to her confidence and with help from Auntie bonnie we are trying to build it back up although she still says she's not going to sing again because she's not good enough. I'm soo mad at myself for setting her up for this blow, but it was a damned if I do and damned if I don't situation for me. If I didn't let her tryout it would've hurt her confidence and gone against what I always tell that she can do anything she puts her mind to if I told her she shouldn't tryout because she probably wouldn't make it. It turns out though that by letting her tryout and get rejected she still took a huge hit to her confidence. Just another hard knock of parenting, no matter how much we want to we can't protect them from all the pain out there:( OK enough sentimental babble!!!
Marcus: Just as cute as ever!! He is getting better with his potty training. He's pretty much completely trained at home he can even stay dry through naps most days!! Out and about we still where pull up most places especially places where we can't get to a bathroom at a moments notice. We do venture out without the pull ups sometimes and he is getting better though!!! A day without diapers is somewhere in my future seeing the finish line!! AT LAST!!!!!! He's still doing gymnastics and he LOVES it!!! He LOVES to jump on the giant trampoline into the foam pit that's his favorite!! (THANKS AUNTIE TEE TEE). He's been asking about preschool more and more these days so once we have potty training down it will be time to start looking around:( My baby is growing up too fast!!!!
Me: Well I am officially down 30 lbs!!! I am taking my pills during the day and only one shot at night of insulin so I'm excited!!! I'm preparing myself for summer break and if I'm honest I am not looking forward to it!! Isn't it funny that when we were kids summer vacation was the most exciting time of year but know that we have kids the summer seems like more of a hassle and hard time that a great break!!! Jailyn just gets soooo bored at home with me and Marcus. I've signed her up for ALOT of activities and Marcus too so that should keep them busy and keep them from driving each other and me INSANE!!! wishful thinking I know but it's all I've got at this point!!!!
JR: Not much new with him still on a weight watchers break but he still isn't gaining!!
We all just got back this morning from our cruise!!! We went on a 3 day cruise to ensenada. It was alot of fun!! We were a little worried that the kids would be bored, but they went to the kids camp every day and at night and they had a ton of fun!!! They really liked sleeping in the bunk beds!! Now they want them at home however they both want to sleep on the top bunk which could be a problem!!! I got alot of really cute pictures of them but our computer is broken right now so I can't post them until we fix it. I promise I will as soon as I can!!! That's it for now!!! I won't make a promise I can't keep and say I'll post again real soon but I will try and feel free to call me on my lack of posting sometimes I just need a reminder!!! LOVE TO YOU ALL!!!!

checking in

Hi guys!!! Sorry I've been lagging in the updates lately. I have no real excuse other than not much new is gone on lately :( Lets see...... Marcus is starting to participate in my efforts to potty train him a little more. He goes on the potty at least 2 times a day so that's good. Although as JR pointed out is it really potty training him when I set a timer and make him sit every 15 mins? Aren't we just getting lucky? I think he's right but at the same time I really don't know any other way to do it. So if you have any advice I'm open to suggestions (which I might add is rare for me so take this opportunity while you can!!!:) What else.... Jailyn had her Fit a Thon fundraiser for school she ran the whole time 4 big laps in about 10 mins. Thank You to everyone that sponsored her!!!! Oh another Marcus thing he will be starting gymnastics classes as well. there is a 3-5 yr old class that goes on the same time as Jailyns with 3 other little boys in it so we are going to try it out. Marcus says he wants to do "nastics" too. Oh one last thing I haven't been keeping everyone up to date with our weight loss goals I am still losing I'm down to 24.2 lbs lost as of last Wednesday. I weigh in tomorrow so I will let you know how I did. JR on the other hand has decided to take the month off and start up again in may to lose before we leave for our cruise. That's it for now. Love you all!!!

Updates

JAILYN- Our beautiful little girl received the student of the month award today at school for Cooperation!!! She also hit off the pitcher again at her softball game last night.

ME- as for me I have lost another 3.2 lbs which puts my total at 23.2 leaving me with 43.4 lbs let to lose. Slowly but surly I'm getting there!!!

Angel Game- So on Friday April 4th we got to go to the Angel Game in style!!! My sister Alicia gave us tickets for her box ( Thanks Tee). We had alot of fun even though at the end of the 8th inning Marcus fell off a chair and scratched his head. It was bleeding so Alicia called the emergency people and Marcus and I got to ride in the little golf cart ambulance down to first aid. They checked him out and everything was fine, and he made out like a bandit. They gave him an Angels baseball, a teddy bear, a backpack and a lollipop, that on top of the 1lb bag of gummy bears, rally monkey and angels Mr Potato head Auntie Tee Tee already bought him. Needless to say Marcus can't wait to go to another baseball game!!!! Well my computer is being dumb so I will post pictures later!!!

BURKE WILLIAMS HERE I COME!!!!!!!

YEAH!!!!! Today at my weigh in I reached my 10% goal of 20 lbs!!!! I'm sooo excited I can't wait to make my Burke Williams reservations!!! So if anyone wants to go with me let me know and we can figure out a day that works!!!! Soon though!!! I also got some REALLY good news at the doctors office on Monday! Last time I was there they put me on cholesterol medication and told me that my blood pressure was borderline high and my A1C which tracks your blood sugars over a period of 6 months was 7(which is still pretty good). Well when I went on Monday he told me that both my blood pressure and my cholesterol were down into the healthy range and my A1C was 6.6( a non diabetic is someone with a 6 or below). So he said that if I promise to continue to exercise and lose weight that they are going to start weaning me off my insulin and put me on pills instead so that by the time reach goal I might not have to take insulin at all anymore!!!! I'm sooo excited!!!! I set my goal weight today and decided on 138lbs. That means I have 46.6 lbs left to lose!!!

Also I wanted to tell everyone that Jailyn hit off the pitcher for the 1st time on Saturday at her softball game!! Everyone was soo excited!!!!
